My thoughts: I’d say not bad since its her debut novel. This is my first time reading books about life outside Earth amd in this case its the moon. There’s not much concentration world building and hence i can’t imagine the world that Cinder lived in which is a few hundred years after World War 4. And New Beijing is part of the Commonwealth which included other countries. It wasn’t explicitly stated how this came about and what happened to the other countries in the world (if there are any remaining since there’s a war). Basically its difficult to comprehend the world that Cinder lived in. Overall the story is okay, but not good enough to keep me yearning to read. There’s just too much beating about the bush which means just telling no showing which was kind of mundane. Can you image like close to 4-5 chapters is just telling and telling. Lol i can sleep but since i have my music on and a cup of white coffee beside me, I didnt fall asleep. The pace picked up at the last moment which was kind of expected. But she revealed things a bit too quickly. It was quite a huge blow to take in. She could have slowly revelaed to us by spreading it evenly across the book, since her intention is to let her readers know what Cinder really is and her responsiblities from now on.I mean that would be better cause i’ll be wanting to know more about Cinder. Instead of just “Bam” this is what Cinder really is. As for Cinder, there’s not much character development. Since this is the first in the series and a debut novel, i have to give it chances. I would recommend it as it is kind of like a breather from dystopian novels. This book is pretty much hyped but i just dont feel the hype about it. I’ll read the second book but I’m not really looking forward to read.  Hahaha Lol. Plus when i was reading the book, I was watching this drama and i was reading and watching, reading and watching. I practically became a zombie. I finished both the book and drama on the same day itself and for that whole day, i just couldn’t do anything. Mostly because i’m hungover from the drama not the book. Ya and because of that my drama watching and reading progress has stopped totally. Uggh, need to get out of this hollowness that i trapped myself in soon. Hahaha. 🙂 See you guys in my next post
