Waiting on Wednesday #2 : October 22nd 2013 Releases

Waiting on Wednesday
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @Breaking the spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
So in this post, i’ll be in fact featuring 2 books instead of one. One, because they share the same publication date. And secondly, i’ve both of them pre-ordered on Book Depository already!!! So without further ado, I’ll introduce the books.
First off we have the much anticipated conclusion to the Divergent Trilogy – Allegiant.
Allegiant (Divergent, #3) Release date: October 22nd 2013
 Author: Veronica Roth
 Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Summary: One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent. (Goodreads)

I’ve read the first two books and I loved and enjoyed them both. If you’re still skeptical and looking for other people’s opinion of the books, check out my review for the first two books, Divergent and Insurgent. And if you still need a little push to get you reading, look them up at Goodreads and/or Book Depository.

As for the second book i’m featuring is Teardrop by Lauren Kate. I love Lauren Kate’s Fallen series and without hesitation I’m gonna dive right into this one. Lauren Kate’s books are either you love them or you loathe them. Hehe its kinda complicated. Like Twilight.

Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)
  Release date: October 22nd 2013
  Author: Lauren Kate
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Summary: Never, ever cry. . . . Eureka Boudreaux’s mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn’t, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.

But Ander doesn’t know Eureka’s darkest secret: ever since her mother drowned in a freak accident, Eureka wishes she were dead, too. She has little left that she cares about, just her oldest friend, Brooks, and a strange inheritance—a locket, a letter, a mysterious stone, and an ancient book no one understands. The book contains a haunting tale about a girl who got her heart broken and cried an entire continent into the sea. Eureka is about to discover that the ancient tale is more than a story, that Ander might be telling the truth . . . and that her life has far darker undercurrents than she ever imagined. From Lauren Kate comes an epic saga of heart-stopping romance, devastating secrets, and dark magic . . . a world where everything you love can be washed away. (Goodreads)

A deciding factor whether you want to pick this book or not you will have to read the Fallen series because this is somewhat similar to the Fallen series. And you may or may not like her writing style. I find her writing style easy to read,  and its fast paced for me. So if you have enjoyed the Fallen series, or like her writing style, I would highly recommend you to read it and of course before reading do a little read up on what’s it about and how other people are reacting to it on Goodreads and/or Book Depository
